Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Impact, Growth, and Community

As we look back on 2025, one word comes to mind: gratitude. This year was filled with powerful moments, meaningful partnerships, and tangible impact across North Texas. None of it would have been possible without our supporters, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who believe in spreading awareness on prevention education and expanding harm reduction efforts/resources.

Here's a look at what CARE Dallas was able to accomplish in 2025:

Saving Lives Through Harm Reduction

One of our most critical efforts this year was expanding accessibility to lifesaving resources such as Narcan to DFW. We are proud to share that in 2025, CARE Dallas distributed approximately 1,626 boxes of NARCAN, the equivalent of 3,252 doses to our community. Each box represents emergency preparedness and the possibility of saving a life.

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to promote education and awareness to our community about the dangers of illicit drugs such as Fentanyl by providing tools that reduce harm and increase safety.

Educating and Empowering Students

Prevention Education remains at the heart of our mission. During Red Ribbon Week, CARE Dallas impacted 7,519 students across 8 Schools, 3 Districts (Highland Park ISD, Lake Dallas ISD, and Celina ISD), through 19 presentations. From age-appropriate messaging on healthy living with our very own Captain CARE and Commander CARA to honest conversations about substance use and mental health, these assemblies allowed us to connect with students in meaningful, impactful ways.

Sharing Stories of Addiction & Recovery: Launch of our Sharing is CARE-ing Podcast

In 2025, we launched our very own podcast, Sharing is CARE-ing! Through impactful interviews conducted by CARE Dallas Board Member, Fritz Deichert, our podcast was created as a safe space to reduce stigma and bring awareness beyond the classroom into everyday life.

Taking Advocacy to New Heights (Literally)

This year, CARE Dallas went Over The Edge - 30 brave and fearless CARE Dallas supporters rappelled 332 feet down the Plaza of the Americas in support of our mission. This unforgettable event wasn't just about facing fears; it was about raising awareness on an issue that affects families every day and showing that prevention advocacy sometimes means stepping outside our comfort zones!

Expanding Our Outreach & Building New Partnerships

Throughout 2025, CARE Dallas expanded outreach efforts to reach more individuals, families, and organizations than ever before. We closed out the year on a high note with an exciting partnership with JACK FM and serving as a beneficiary for Jack's Never Ending 90s Christmas Show. Partnerships like these allow us to promote awareness about our services and resources we provide to the community.

Looking Ahead: 26 for 2026

We are incredibly proud of what we have been able to accomplish in 2025, but we are even more energized about what lies ahead in 2026. As we move into the new year, CARE Dallas is launching our 26 for 2026 campaign.
