42 Years of Hope: You’re Invited to the 42nd Annual CARE Dallas Breakfast!

For over four decades, CARE Dallas has stood on the front lines of substance abuse education, community healing, and hope. This year, we are thrilled to invite you to celebrate a monumental milestone with us.

Mark your calendars for Monday, October 19, 2026, as we host our 42nd Annual CARE Breakfast at the beautiful Dallas Country Club.

This isn't just a breakfast; it’s a gathering of community leaders, advocates, and friends dedicated to building a healthier, safer, and more informed North Texas.

A Powerful Message of Resilience: Keynote Speaker Jena Ehlinger

We are deeply honored to welcome Jena Ehlinger as this year's keynote speaker. Jena’s story is one of unimaginable personal loss, profound courage, and ultimate hope. Following the tragic death of her son, Jake, to fentanyl poisoning, Jena transformed her grief into a fierce, life-saving mission.

As a dedicated advocate, her work has shaped legislation, sparked vital national conversations about the fentanyl crisis, and provided a beacon of strength for countless families. Her message of resilience and recovery is one you will not want to miss.

Honoring Leaders of Change

A community is only as strong as the leaders who champion its cause. This year, we are proud to recognize individuals who embody the spirit of compassion and service:

  • 2026 Voice of Hope Award Recipient: Alaina Brooks. Alaina’s unwavering commitment to raising awareness, supporting local families, and turning compassion into action makes her a true inspiration.

  • Our 2026 Breakfast Chairs: John Campbell and Alisa Sell, whose dedication has made this one of our most anticipated events yet.

  • Our Honorary Chairs: Mersina Stubbs and Pamela Mattingly, longtime champions of the CARE Dallas mission.

First Look: Unveiling a Bold Vision for 2027

The 42nd Annual Breakfast also serves as the launching pad for the future of prevention education. Attendees will get an exclusive first look at our new Prevention & Empowerment Program.

Launching in 2027, this groundbreaking initiative is designed to impact hundreds of thousands of students across North Texas. By equipping young people and families with the tools they need to make healthy choices, we are actively building a brighter, substance-free future.
